Governor Duncan Mansion Open for Tours!


July 5th, from 1 - 4pm, this 3-story, 17-room mansion was built in 1834 for Illinois Governor Joseph Duncan, his wife Elizabeth and their growing family. It served as the official Governor's Mansion during his term of office, 1834-38, and is the only structure left in the state that served in that capacity outside Springfield. Fourth of July Parade! 


IJuly 4th, Don't miss the Fourth of July Parade through historic downtown Jacksonville.  Fireworks will begin at dusk. For parade information, call Skip Nelson 243-4219.

Jubilee Habitat for Humanity Work Day!


July 5th, 8 am to 12 noon, come share with others as you help build a home for a neighbor. Construction volunteers must be over 16 years of age. Located at the Jubilee Habitat for Humanity Home, 1037 Beesley in Jacksonville. For additonal information, please contact ( 217) 243-2094.

Parade of Flags
